Fuel Pressure Relief Information

FUEL PRESSURE RELIEF INFORMATION

1. Remove fuel filler cap to relieve tank vapor pressure.
2. Remove fuel pump relay from underhood relay center. Refer to Fuel Pump Relay Location in Electrical.
3. Start and run engine until it stalls.
4. Crank engine an additional 30 seconds.
5. On models equipped with airbag system, refer to Technician Safety Information for system disarming and arming procedures.
6. Disconnect battery ground cable.
