Fuel Filter: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
Preparation: Remove Negative Battery Cable.

1. Remove Fuel Filler Cap.
2. Disconnect the Fuel Feed Pipe from Engine side of Fuel Filter.

WARNING: Be careful to avoid injuring your hand. Use a piece of cloth in case of fuel spillage.

3. Disconnect the Fuel Feed Pipe from Fuel Tank side of Fuel Filter.

CAUTION: Cap the ends of the Fuel Feed Pipe and Fuel Pipe to prevent both entry of dust and spillage.

4. Remove Filter Fixing Bolt
5. Remove Filter

INSTALLATION
To install, follow the removal steps in the reverse order.

Fuel Filter:

5. Install Filter. Make sure that the Fuel Filter is installed properly (see illustration).
4. Install Filter Fixing Bolt.
3. Connect the Fuel Feed Pipe to Fuel Tank side of Fuel Filter.
2. Connect the Fuel Feed Pipe to Engine side of Fuel Filter.
1. Replace Fuel Filler Cap.
