VIN RANGE/PARTS INFORMATION/WARRANTY CLAIM INFORMATION

This Campaign Bulletin Addendum revises the Affected Vehicles, Parts Information, and Warranty Claim Information sections contained in SB97-04-L002, 1994-95.5 Rodeo (UC) and 1994-95 Pickup (TF) Alternator Regulator Safety Recall Campaign 97V-034, issued March 1997.

The information in the Affected Vehicles section has been entirely replaced with the VIN Range Information Table. 1994 Rodeo affected vehicles are those vehicles produced after 7/1/94. 1994 Pickup affected vehicles are those vehicles produced after 8/1/94.

The Parts Information section has been revised to include the insulator bushing for the battery terminal stud for both the 2.6L and 3.2L engine models.

The Warranty Claim In formation section has been revised to allow payment for repairs on vehicles that were not in the revised VIN range.

Please disregard the Affected Vehicles section contained in SB97-04-L002 and refer now only to the VIN Range Information Table contained in the Affected Vehicles section of this Campaign Bulletin Addendum. Please refer to the Parts Information and Warranty Claim Information sections of this Campaign Bulletin Addendum for the applicable parts and warranty-related revisions.

NOTE: A limited number of vehicles were notified in which repairs should not have been performed. Pickup models equipped with 2.3L engines and with 2. 6L engines and automatic transmission should not have the alternator regulator replaced.





PARTS INFORMATION
The battery terminal stud insulator bushing is now available separately from AIPDN.






WARRANTY CLAIM INFORMATION
Use the new labor operation in the event that a repair was performed on a vehicle that was not in the revised VIN range. The repair must be performed prior to May 16, 1997. All repairs performed after 05/16/97 will not be acceptable for payment.

For affected vehicles within the VIN range and production dates that have been repaired, continue to use the campaign labor operation number 040111.
