Heated Glass Element: Description and Operation

Circuit Operation
Voltage is applied at all times through fuses CB-17 and CB-18 to the rear defogger relay contacts. With the ignition switch in ON or START, voltage is applied through fuse CB-7 to the rear defogger relay coil. With the rear defogger switch ON, ground is provided to the rear defogger relay coil and the rear defogger indicator light. The rear defogger relay contacts close, applying battery voltage to the rear defogger and the rear defogger indicator light. The rear defogger grid heats the rear window to remove any fog from the glass, and the indicator light comes ON.
