Troubleshooting Hints
1. Check the condition of the TL CTSY Fuse (Fuse 9) and the ILLUM Fuse (Fuse 21). Replace if open.2. Check for proper installation of after-market electronic equipment which may effect the integrity of other systems.
^ Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system malfunction but prove "GOOD" in a continuity/voltage check with a system disconnected. These circuits may be intermittent or resistive when loaded, and if possible, should be checked by monitoring for a voltage drop with the system operational (under load).
^ Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems.
3. If the I/P Lamps do not dim when using the panel dimmer switch, check the GRY (8) wire for a short to voltage. If OK, Replace the Headlamp Switch.
4. If the I/P Lamps dims erratically when using the Panel Dimmer Switch, check the Panel Dimmer Switch for a poor connection. If OK, REPLACE the Panel Dimmer Switch.
5. If one or more of the I/P bulbs will not illuminate, check the GRY (8) wire for voltage at the location of the inoperative bulb. If voltage exists, REPAIR open in BLK/WHT (151) wire or BLK (150) wire.
