Knock Sensor: Service and Repair

Knock Sensor (KS) Location:

REMOVE
1. Negative battery cable from the battery.
2. Raise the vehicle and suitably support.
3. Knock Sensor (KS) wiring harness connector from the KS.
4. Knock sensor from the engine block.

INSTALL
1. Knock sensor into the engine block. Clean the threads thoroughly.

Tighten The knock sensor to 16-22 Nm (12-16 ft. lbs.).

2. KS wiring harness connector to the knock sensor.
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Negative battery cable to the battery.
