Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Figure 3A-13 - Throttle Position (TP) Sensor:

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Throttle Position (TP) sensor electrical connector.
2. TP sensor attaching screws and retainers.
3. TP Sensor.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. With throttle valve in the closed (idle) position, install the throttle position sensor on the throttle body assembly.

NOTE: Install new TP sensor attaching screws when replacing TP sensor.

2. Retainers and two TP sensor screws.

Tighten The TP Sensor retaining screws to 2-4 Nm (18-35 in. lbs.).

3. TP sensor electrical connector.
