Replacement
REMOVAL1. Drain the coolant from the radiator.
2. Disconnect the coolant recovery reservoir hose.
3. Loosen the radiator hose clamps.
4. Disconnect the (upper) radiator inlet hose from the radiator.
5. Remove the upper fan shroud.
6. Disconnect the (lower) radiator outlet hose from the radiator.
7. Disconnect the heater hose from the radiator.
8. Disconnect the engine oil cooler lines from the radiator (if equipped).
9. Disconnect the transmission oil cooler lines from the radiator, if equipped.
10. Lift the lower fan shroud just enough to disengage the locating tabs.
11. Remove the radiator by lifting it up and out of the vehicle.
12. Lift the lower fan shroud from the vehicle.
13. Inspect all sealing surfaces for deterioration or signs of leakage.
INSTALLATION
1. Place the lower fan shroud in position under the cooling fan.
2. Install the radiator onto the rubber mounts in the vehicle.
3. Position the lower fan shroud against the radiator, while engaging the locating tabs.
4. Connect the engine oil cooler line nuts to the radiator, if equipped.
5. Connect the transmission oil cooler line nuts to the radiator, if equipped.
^ Tighten the oil cooler line nuts to 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
6. Connect the radiator outlet hose to the radiator.
7. Connect the heater hose to the radiator.
8. Fasten the upper fan shroud to the lower fan shroud.
9. Connect the radiator inlet hose to the radiator.
10. Connect the coolant recovery reservoir hose to the radiator.
11. Fill the radiator with the specified coolant and concentration.
12. Check the cooling system for leaks.
