Removal

1. Remove the intake manifold.





2. Remove the exhaust manifold.
3. Remove the following components from the left cylinder head.
^ The electrical connector at the rear of the cylinder head for the coolant temperature sensor.
^ The air conditioning compressor and bracket. Refer to Heating and Air Conditioning.
4. Remove the generator and bracket from the right cylinder head. Refer to Starting and Charging.





5. Remove the pushrods. If reusing the pushrods, install them in their original location.





6. Remove the cylinder head.
