Replacement

REMOVAL
1. Remove the oil pan.
2. Remove the oil pump bolt and the oil pump.
3. Remove the oil pump drive shaft and the retainer.

INSTALLATION
1. Inspect the retainer and the oil pump hex drive for cracks. Replace if necessary.
2. Install the oil pump to the engine.

NOTE: The oil pump should slide into place. Do not force the oil pump. Damage to the retainer or the oil pump hex drive could occur.

3. Install the oil pump attaching bolt to the rear crankshaft bearing cap.
^ Tighten the oil pump bolt to 90 Nm (66 ft. lbs.).
4. install the oil pan.
