Timing Chain: Testing and Inspection

^ Check camshaft timing chain free play. If the camshaft timing chain can be moved back and forth in excess of 16 mm (0.625 inch) replace the timing chain.
^ Inspect the sprockets for chipped teeth and wear. Worn sprockets will wear a new chain.
