Backup Lamp: Description and Operation

BACKUP LAMPS
With the Ignition Switch in Run or Start, voltage is supplied from the TURN B/U Fuse to the Backup Lamp Switch (manual transmission) or Park/Neutral Position and Backup Lamp Switch (automatic transmission). Whenever the gear selector lever is shifted to Reverse, the Backup Lamp Switch (manual transmission) or Park/Neutral Position and Backup Lamp Switch (automatic transmission) closes and voltage is supplied to the Backup Lamps. The Backup Lamps remain on as long as the switch is closed.
