Headlamp: Description and Operation

HEADLAMPS
(W/DAYTIME RUNNING LAMPS)

Voltage to the Headlamp Switch is provided at all times through a Fusible Link. The Headlamp Switch is protected by an internal Self-Resetting Circuit Breaker. If the Headlamp circuit draws too much current1 the circuit breaker opens, stopping the current flow to the lights.

With the Headlamp Switch in Head, current flows through the Headlamp Dimmer Switch to the Headlights. The Headlamp Dimmer Switch switches current between the Low Beams and High Beams. With the High Beams on, current also flows to the High Beam Indicator in the instrument Cluster.
