Trim Cover

1. Remove the negative battery cable.
2. Disable the SRS.
3. Detach the steering wheel.
4. Remove the tilt steering column lever (if equipped).
5. Remove the screws that retain the lower steering column trim cover to the steering column.
6. REmove the lower steering column trim cover and tilt the trim cover down and slide it back to disengage the locking tabs.
7. Remove the screws that retain the upper steering column trim cover to the steering column.
8. Remove the ignition lock cylinder assembly from the upper steering column trim cover.
9. Detach the upper steering column trim cover.
10. Install the new upper steering column trim cover.
11. insert the ignition lock assembly into upper steering column trim cover.
12. Screw in the screws that retain the upper steering column trim cover to the steering column tightening them to 1.4 Nm (12 inch lbs.).
13. Attach the lower steering column trim cover.
14. Screw in the screws that retain the lower steering column trim cover to the steering column tightening them to 6 Nm (53 inch lbs.).
15. Install the tilt steering column lever (if equipped).
16. Attach the steering wheel.
17. Enable the SRS.
18. Hook up the negative battery cable.
