Filler Tube Replacement

REMOVAL
1. Remove the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the transmission oil level indicator.
3. Remove the air cleaner.





4. Remove the bolt and nut securing the oil lever indicator tube and engine harness ground wires to the engine block.





5. Remove the bolts securing the filler tube to the side of the engine head.
6. Remove the oil level indicator tube from the transmission case and seal.





7. Remove the seal from the transmission case.

INSTALLATION





1. Install a new seal into the transmission case.
2. Install the oil level indicator tube into the seal.





3. Install the bolt and nut securing the oil level indicator tube and engine harness ground wires to the engine block.
- Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 32 Nm (23 ft. lbs.).





4. Install the bolt securing the oil level indicator tube to the side of the engine head.
5. Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 32 Nm (23 ft. lbs.).
6. Install the air cleaner.
7. Install the transmission oil level indicator.
8. Install the negative battery cable.

INSTALLATION





1. Install a new seal into the transmission case.
2. Install the oil level indicator tube into the seal.





3. Install the bolt and nut securing the oil level indicator tube and engine harness ground wires to the engine block.
- Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 32 Nm (23 ft. lbs.).





4. Install the bolt securing the oil level indicator tube to the side of the engine head.
5. Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 32 Nm (23 ft. lbs.).
6. Install the air cleaner.
7. Install the transmission oil level indicator.
8. Install the negative battery cable.
