1. With ignition switch Off, 60-way ECM connector disconnected and ohmmeter connected between connecter cavities 19 and 20, disconnect idle speed motor electrical connector.
2. If ohmmeter indicates infinity, replace idle motor.
3. If ohmmeter indicates no resistance, locate and repair short circuit between idle motor wires.
