Mirrors: Service and Repair

NOTE: The power mirror actuator can be replaced without removing the mirror assembly.

1. Peel off the tape from the bottom of the mirror housing.

2. Remove the actuator retaining screw from the housing, then remove the mirror with the actuator.

Mirror Actuator Replacement:

3. Disconnect the wires from the actuator. Record the terminal location and color of each wire.

Mirror Actuator Replacement:

4. Starting at the lower edge or the mirror, separate the mirror and actuator.
5. Connect the wires to the new actuator.

Mirror Actuator Replacement:

6. Install the new actuator to the housing with a new retaining screw.

Mirror Actuator Replacement:

7. Install the mirror on the new actuator in the reverse order of removal.
8. Stick the tape over the hole in the housing.
