Installation
To install, follow the removal steps in the reverse order, noting the following points:1. Flywheel assembly and crankshaft bearing (7)
- Clean and lubricate with grease.
- Use installer J-26516-A or equivalent to install the crankshaft bearing.
Driver handle: J-8092 or equivalent.
Flywheel: Torque In Sequence To 54 Nm (40 Ft.lb.):
- Bolts: flywheel fixing.
- Install new bolts in the order illustrated and tighten them to the specified torque.
Torque: 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.).
NOTE:
- Do not reuse the bolt.
- Do not apply oil or thread lock to the bolt.
2. Fulcrum bridge (6)
- Install the fulcrum bridge to the transmission case.
- Tighten three fulcrum bridge bolts to the specified torque.
Torque: 38 Nm (28 ft. lbs.).
3. Shift fork (5)
- Apply molybdenum disulfide contained type grease to the pin hole inner circumferences and thrust surfaces.
- Attach the shift fork to the fulcrum bridge and insert the pin from below of the fulcrum bridge.
- Install the washer and snap pin.
4. Release bearing (4)
- Apply molybdenum disulfide contained type grease to the areas shown in illustration.
- Install the release bearing to the in the proper direction.
NOTE: Ensure release bearing is properly positioned during installation, as shown in illustration.
5. Driven plate assembly (3)
- Use the pilot aligner J-24547 or equivalent to install the driven plate assembly.
6. Pressure plate assembly (2)
- Tighten the bolts holding the pressure plate assembly in the order shown in illustration.
Torque: 18 Nm (13 ft. lbs.)
- Remove the aligner.
NOTE: Do not strike the aligner with a hammer to remove it.
7. Transmission assembly (1)
