Owner Letter

DEAR ISUZU AMIGO OWNER:

This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act. Isuzu Motors Limited has determined that certain 1998 Isuzu Amigo vehicles fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety standard NO. 210, seat belt assembly anchorage.

WHAT IS THE CONDITION?
On some affected vehicles, incorrect rear seat belt shoulder anchor bolts (left and right) were fitted in production, which could result in the failure of the rear seat belts to provide proper protection in the event of a vehicle crash.

WHAT WE WILL DO
To correct this condition your Isuzu dealer will install a new right and left rear seat belt shoulder anchor bolts. This service will be performed for you at no charge.

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO
Please contact your Isuzu dealer as soon as possible to arrange a service date. Your dealer will need a few days notice and the Vehicle identification Number (VIN), as shown in top left hand corner of this letter, to coordinate parts delivery and service schedules. Instructions for making this correction have been sent to your Isuzu dealer. Please ask your dealer if you wish to know how much time will be needed to schedule and process your vehicle. Presentation of this letter to your dealer will assist in making the necessary correction in the shortest possible time. Your Isuzu dealer is best equipped to obtain parts and provide service to ensure that our vehicle is corrected as promptly as possible. If you believe that the condition has not been or cannot be remedied without charge within a reasonable time, you may contact the National Owner Relations Department, American Isuzu Motors Inc., P.O.
