SERVICE INFORMATION
Condition:
These vehicles may exhibit a condition in which the rubber purge hose of the Enhanced Evaporative Emission Control System (EVAP) may crack, due to proximity to the exhaust pipe.
Correction:
Follow the procedure outlined in this bulletin using the supplied clearance template to install a Campaign EVAP Pipe and Hose assembly, and to inspect routing clearances after installation. (Figures 1 and 2)
CALIFORNIA VEHICLES ONLY
The California Air Resources Board (CARB) requires vehicle emission recalls to be completed prior to California registration renewal. Uncorrected emission recalls will result in the inability for affected owners to renew their California vehicle registration.
At the time of emission campaign completion, all California dealers must issue a completed "Proof of Correction Certificate" (Figure 11) to the vehicle owner. A completed certificate is required by the vehicle owner as proof of campaign completion.
