Number 9802L3 has been assigned to this campaign. This number will appear on all communications and documentation of any nature dealing with this campaign.

AFFECTED VEHICLES
1998 Rodeo (UE) and 1998 Amigo (UA) models:

Start Of Production to End Of Production (All 1998 model year production units).

1999 Rodeo (UE) and 1999 Amigo (UA) models:
- (Equipped with automatic transmission) SOP to VIN# 4315376
- (Equipped with manual transmission) SOP to VIN# 4305099

SERVICE INFORMATION

Condition:
On some affected vehicles, the integrated attachment clip located on the back of the accelerator pedal pad may break. In such cases the accelerator pedal pad will become loose from the accelerator rod assembly and may slip off. However, should the pad slip off, the accelerator may be operated
normally by pressing on the accelerator rod assembly to which the pad attaches.

Correction:
Remove the existing accelerator pedal pad and replace with a new one (P/N 8-94473-376-1), following the procedures outlined in this bulletin.

DEALER NOTIFICATION
Isuzu dealers must service all affected vehicles at no charge to the owner, regardless of mileage, age of vehicle, or ownership.

Whenever a vehicle subject to this campaign is in a dealer's vehicle inventory, or arrives at a dealership for service, the dealer must take the necessary steps to ensure that this campaign correction has been made before selling or releasing the vehicle.

All unsold new vehicles in dealer's possession and subject to this campaign must be held and repaired per the service procedure in this Campaign Bulletin before customers take possession of their vehicles.

OWNER NOTIFICATION
Due to limited parts availability, American Isuzu Motors Inc. (AIMI) will send a notification letter to owners of affected vehicles already retailed on a state by state basis. This staggered owner mailing will be dependent upon parts shipment from the part vendor.
