SERVICE INFORMATION

This Service Bulletin lists exterior paint color information for 1998 Isuzu light vehicle models.

Chart 1 lists the Isuzu option code, Isuzu paint color name, and Isuzu paint code for each 1998 model, in option code ascending order. Chart 2 lists the Isuzu paint code, Isuzu option code, and Isuzu paint color name, followed by the corresponding aftermarket paint vendor codes. Except for those paint colors denoted with an asterisk (*), all paint colors listed in Chart 2 require clear coat application.

On Troopers, Rodeos, and Amigos, the 3-digit Isuzu option code is printed on the Service ID Plate, mounted under the hood, on the bulkhead at the rear of the engine compartment (Figure 1). On the Hombre, the 3-digit option code is printed on the Service Parts Identification Label mounted inside the glove box (Figure 2). On the Oasis, the 3-digit option code is printed on a label affixed to the driver's side B-pillar (Figure 3).

All aftermarket paint cross-reference information has been supplied by the paint manufacturers. In many cases, Use aftermarket manufacturer's paint color name may differ from the Isuzu paint color name listed in this Service Bulletin.

IMPORTANT!
Due to differences in manufacturing plants, be sure to specify the manufacturing plant when ordering paint. The paint color name is the same, but the paint formula differs between assembly plants. Check the VIN plate to verify where the vehicle was manufactured.

Give this information to your paint supplier to ensure receiving the exact formula required.
