Lower Control Arm

REMOVAL PROCEDURE





1. Remove the coil spring.
2. Remove the lower ball joint.
3. Support the lower control arm after the ball joint stud breaks loose.





4. Guide the lower control arm out of the splash shield opening.





5. Remove the jam nuts.
6. Remove the bolts.
7. Remove the lower control arm.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Install the lower control arm in place.
2. Install the bolts with the head forward.
3. Install the new jam nuts.
4. Tighten the nuts with the front suspension loaded.

Tighten
- Tighten the front nut to 115 Nm (85 ft. lbs.).
- Tighten the rear nut to 98 Nm (72 ft. lbs.).

5. Install the lower ball joint stud to the knuckle.
6. Install the coil spring.
7. Check the front wheel alignment. Adjust if necessary.
