Programming and Relearning

A Passlock TM Learn Procedure should be performed if any of the following components have been replaced.
- Passlock TM Sensor
- Body Control Module
- Powertrain Control Module
- Vehicle Control Module

NOTE: All of the above modules except the Passlock sensor need to be programmed with their own vehicle configuration, see individual module.

There are two types of Passlock TM Learn Procedures:
1. 10 minutes procedure, requires a Techline Terminal and Tech 2 scan tool.
2. 30 minutes procedure, requires a scan tool (used to clear codes).

10 Minute Procedure
1. Make sure the battery is fully charged.
2. Follow the directions provided on the Techline Terminal and Tech 2.

30 Minute Procedure
1. Make sure the battery is fully charged.
2. Using a scan tool clear Passlock TM DTC(s).
3. Turn Ignition switch from the OFF position to the CRANK position then to the RUN position.
4. The vehicle will start and stall.
5. Leave the Ignition ON until the security telltale turns OFF (10 minutes).
6. Repeat steps 3 through 5 two more times (3 times total).
7. The Passlock TM controller will learn the new data on the next start attempt.
8. Using a scan tool clear all DTC(s).
