Disabling the SRS

MOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Turn the steering wheel so that the front wheels are pointing straight ahead.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position and remove the key.
3. AIR BAG fuse from the instrument panel fuse block.
4. Knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement.
5. Connector position assurance (CPA) retainer and yellow 2-way SRS connector at the base of the steering column.

IMPORTANT
- With the AIR BAG fuse removed and the ignition switch in the RUN position, the SRS warning lamp will be illuminated. This is normal operation and does not indicate an SRS fault.
