Brake Light Switch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.





2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the stoplamp switch.





3. Remove the pushrod retainer from the brake pedal pin.





4. Remove the stoplamp switch. Unsnap the switch from the pushrod.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Install the stoplamp switch on the pushrod. The switch will snap into place.





2. install the pushrod retainer on the brake pedal pin.





3. Install the electrical connector on the stoplamp switch.
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
