Typical Scan Tool Data Values
NOTE: Do not use a scan tool that displays faulty data. Report the problem to the manufacturer. The use of a faulty scan tool can result in misdiagnosis and unnecessary parts replacement. Use only the parameters listed in the tables for diagnosis. If a scan tool reads other parameters, the values are not recommended in the diagnosis of the Passlock System. - Read the Data List.
- Read current ant history trouble codes.
- Clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) after a repair is completed.
Make sure the scan tool has current software before attempting to communicate with the vehicle.

The Scan Tool Data Display (Module Information) contains specific data pertinent to the system.
The Scan Tool Data Display (Data) contains scan tool values from a properly operating system. This data is intended to be used as a reference after the Passlock TM System Check and Table 1 have been performed and there are no DTCs set. Only the parameters listed below are referenced in the service manual for use in diagnosis. If all values are within the typical range described refer to Detecting Electrical Intermittents .
