Mirrors: Description and Operation

CIRCUIT OPERATION
Voltage is supplied to the power outside rearview mirror switch at all times through fuse 7 and the CKT 840 (ORN) wire. Ground is provided through the CKT 1850 (BLK) wire and Ground G202. Rotating the power outside rearview mirror switch fully clockwise allows for control of the RH power outside rearview mirror. Rotating the switch fully counterclockwise allows for control of the LH power outside rearview mirror. With the switch set for the LH power outside rearview mirror, moving the switch handle to the left connects the CKT 81 (WHT) wire to the CKT 840 (ORN) wire and the CKT 1496 (YEL) wire to the CKT 1850 (BLK) wire, and the mirror will then move to the left. Moving the switch handle to the right reverses polarity to the motor, and the mirror moves to the right. Moving the switch handle up connects the CKT 1496 (YEL) wire to the CKT 840 (ORN) wire and the CKT 89 (LT ORN) wire to the CKT 1850 (BLK) wire, and the mirror will then move up. Moving the switch handle down reverses polarity to the mirror motor and the mirror moves down.
