Tools Needed to Service the System

You must know how to use jumper wires to bypass components to test circuits. You must be familiar with the Digital Multimeter (DMM). You must be able to measure voltage, resistance, and current with an DMM. System diagnosis requires a scan tool, test light, DMM with 10 Meg-ohms impedance (J 39200), Connector test adapter kit (J 35616-A) and jumper wires. A test light or a voltmeter must be used only when specified in the procedures.
