Tail Lamp: Service and Repair

Taillamp:

Remove or Disconnect
1. Make sure the headlamp switch is in the OFF position and the ignition switch is in the LOCK position.
2. Battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notes.
3. Lower the tailgate.
4. Screws that retain the taillamp assembly to the vehicle.
5. Taillamp assembly from the vehicle.
6. Bulb sockets from the taillamp assembly by rotating them 1/4 turn counter-clockwise.
7. Bulb(s) from the socket(s).

Taillamp:

Install or Connect
1. Bulb(s) to the socket(s).
2. Bulb sockets to the taillamp assembly by inserting and rotating them 1/4 turn clockwise.
3. Taillamp assembly to the vehicle.
4. Screws that retain the taillamp assembly to the vehicle.

Tighten
- Screws that retain the taillamp assembly to the vehicle to 1.9 N.m (17 lb in).

5. Battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notes.
6. Close the tailgate.
