Function Test
NOTE:- Carefully remove the switches without damaging the dashboard and switches.
- Check the No. 29 (30 A) fuse in the under-hood fuse/relay box and No. 12 (10 A) fuse in the auxiliary fuse holder, before testing.
Sunroof (USA)-Function Test:
1. Carefully pry the switches out of the dashboard.
2. Disconnect the connectors from the switches.
3. Connect the No. 1 terminal to body ground with a jumper wire, then turn the ignition switch ON (II).
The sunroof should open.
- If the sunroof opens, check the switch.
- If the sunroof does not open, check for:
- an open in the GRN/YEL wire.
- faulty sunroof open relay.
- faulty sunroof close relay.
- poor ground (G401, G402, G404).
4. Connect the No. 2 terminal to body ground with a jumper wire, then turn the ignition switch ON (II).
The sunroof should close.
- If the sunroof closes, check the switch.
- If the sunroof does not close, check for:
- an open in the GRN/RED wire.
- faulty sunroof close relay.
- faulty sunroof open relay.
- poor ground (G401, G402, G404).
5. Check for continuity to body ground on the No. 3 terminal.
There should be continuity.
- If there is continuity, check the switch.
- If there is no continuity, check for:
- an open in the BLK wire.
- poor ground (G401, G402, G404).
