Set/Resume/Cancel Switch Test/Replacement

1. Remove the dashboard lower cover and knee bolster.




2. Disconnect the 16P and 12P connectors of the combination switch harness from the main wire harness.




3. Check for continuity between the terminals of the combination switch harness connector in each switch position according to the table.
- If there is continuity, and it matches the table, the switch is OK.
- If there is no continuity in one or both positions, go to step 4.

4. Remove the two screws from the set/resume/cancel switch.




5. Disconnect the 4P connector, and remove the switch.




6. Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to the table.
- If there is continuity, and it matches the table, go to step 7.
- If there is no continuity in one or both positions, replace the switch.
7. Remove the steering column upper and lower covers.




8. Disconnect the 4P connector from the cable reel.




9. Check for continuity between the terminals of the combination switch harness.
- If there is continuity, replace the cable reel.
- If there is no continuity, check for an open in the wire.

10. If all the tests prove OK, reinstall and reconnect all removal parts.
