Rear A/C Unit
EVAPORATOR / REPLACEMENT1. Recover the refrigerant with a Recovery/Recycling/Charging System.
Rear A/C Unit Replacement:
2. Remove the right and left lids.
Rear A/C Unit Replacement:
3. Remove the rear A/C unit switch.
Rear A/C Unit Replacement:
4. Remove the right and left intake lids, then remove the two self-tapping screws and the intake grille.
Rear A/C Unit Replacement:
5. Remove the right and left outlet lids, then remove the two self-tapping screws and the outlet panel.
Rear A/C Unit Replacement:
6. Disconnect the right and left drain hoses, then remove the nine self-tapping screws and the lower case.
7. Disconnect the receiver line and the suction line from the evaporator.
Remove the rear A/C unit wire harness, then remove the four mounting bolts and the rear A/C unit.
NOTE: Plug or cap the lines immediately after disconnecting them to avoid moisture and dust contamination.
8. Install in the reverse order of removal. Make note of the following items.
- If you're installing a new evaporator, add refrigerant oil (ND-OIL 8).
- Replace the O-rings with new ones at each fitting, and apply a thin coat of refrigerant oil before installing them.
NOTE: Be sure to use the right O-rings for HFC-134a (R-134a) to avoid leakage.
- Make sure that there is no air leakage.
- Charge the system and test its performance.
