Owner Letter


DEAR ISUZU RODEO OWNER:

Through our continuing effort to assure maximum customer satisfaction with our product, American Isuzu Motors Inc. (AIMI) is notifying vehicle owners of a condition which may exist on Genuine Isuzu trailer hitches on certain 1998 Rodeo vehicles.

WHAT IS THE CONDITION?

On the affected vehicles, the trailer lights will only work with the key either in the ON or ACC position. If the key is in the OFF position, the trailer lights will not work.

WHAT WE WILL DO

To correct this condition your Isuzu dealer will install an Isuzu trailer harness kit which will reroute the power source. This service will be performed for you at no charge.

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO

Please contact your Isuzu dealer as soon as possible to arrange a service date. Your dealer will need a few days notice and the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), as shown in top left hand corner of this letter, to coordinate parts delivery and service schedules. Instructions for making this correction have been sent to your Isuzu dealer. Please ask your dealer if you wish to know how much additional time will be needed to schedule and process your vehicle. Presentation of this letter to your dealer will assist in making the necessary correction in the shortest possible time. Please have your dealer refer to Campaign Bulletin SB98-13-L006.

Your Isuzu dealer is best equipped to obtain parts and provide service to ensure that your vehicle is corrected as promptly as possible. If you believe that the condition has not been or cannot be remedied without charge within a reasonable time, you may contact the National Owner Relations Department, American Isuzu Motors Inc., P.O. After contacting your Isuzu dealer, the National Office or the Isuzu Care Team Line, with problems about this campaign if you are still not satisfied that we have done our best to remedy this condition without charge and within a reasonable time, you may wish to write American Isuzu Motors Inc. P.O. Box 995, Whittier, CA 90608-0995.

We are sorry to cause you this inconvenience; however, it is very important that your vehicle be returned to your Isuzu dealer as soon as possible for repair.
