SERVICE INFORMATION
In order to maintain the highest vehicle quality and customer satisfaction, American Isuzu Motors Inc. (AIMI) has increased investigative research into electrical harness failures and repairs.

To gain a better understanding of electrical harness failures, AIMI has initiated a mandatory harness failure reporting procedure for the 1998 Rodeo (UE).

IMPORTANT: This program affects only 1998 model year Rodeo (UE) models. The program will remain in effect for one (1) full year.

The 1998 Rodeo Electrical System Failure Report (SVE-L002) is designed to provide detailed information for each electrical harness repair performed on 1998 model year Rodeos. The form is composed of four parts, as described below:

Part I: Dealer and Vehicle Information:
Basic dealer and VIN information. Fill in all areas, as indicated.

Part II: Repair Area Details:
"X" appropriate failed system and indicate wire color, if applicable.

Part III: Complaint, Cause, and Corrective Action:
Provide exact explanation of customer-described problem, suspected cause, and corrective action.

Part IV: Tell Us More: Circle concern area from concerns list; sketch problem area, if necessary, to further describe; and circle area on appropriate illustration.








A 1998 Rodeo Electrical System Failure Report must be submitted for each of the labor operation numbers listed in Table 1. This form must be completed and returned within thirty (30) days of warranty claim submission to ensure proper warranty reimbursement. Mail or FAX the form to:

To mail: Follow the folding instructions that are printed on the form and mail. Postage is prepaid.

To FAX: Separate the form into two individual sheets and FAX each side to 248-616-5082.

Make sure the Dealer Code and Repair Order numbers are included on each side to ensure proper receipt.

WARRANTY CLAIM INFORMATION

When submitting a waranty claim for any listed labor operations (1998 Rodeo only) that require additional submission of the 1998 Rodeo Electrical System Failure Report, add an additional 0.1 hour to the warranty claim total to cover report completion and submission.
