Owner Letter
DEAR ISUZU RODEO or AMIGO OWNER:Through our continuing effort to assure maximum customer satisfaction with our products, American Isuzu Motors Inc. has determined that the accelerator pedal pad clip may break during driving on certain 1998-1999 Rodeo and Amigo models.
WHAT IS THE CONDITION?
On some affected vehicles, the integrated attachment clip located on the back of the accelerator pedal pad may break. In such cases the accelerator pedal pad will become loose from the accelerator rod assembly and the pad may slip off. However, should the pad slip off, the accelerator may be operated normally by pressing on the accelerator rod assembly to which the pad attaches.
WHAT WE WILL DO:
To prevent this condition from occurring, your Isuzu dealer will replace the accelerator pedal pad. This service will be performed for you at no charge.
WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:
Please contact your Isuzu dealer to arrange a service date. Your dealer will need your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), as shown in the top left-hand corner of this letter, and a few days notice, to coordinate parts delivery and service schedules. Please ask your Isuzu dealer if you wish to know how much time will be needed to schedule, process, and repair your vehicle. Your Isuzu dealer can refer to Campaign Bulletin SB98-02-L003. To locate the Isuzu dealer nearest you, or if you have any questions regarding this matter, please call the Isuzu Care Team Line at 1-800-643-4070 extension 319.

Box 995, Whittier, CA 90608-0995, or call the Isuzu Care Team Line at 1-800-643-4070 extension 319.
