RODEO AND AMIGO/RODEO SPORT HVAC OPERATION UPDATE

AFFECTED VEHICLES
1999 through 2001 Rodeo and Amigo/Rodeo Sport with factory installed Air Conditioning only

SERVICE INFORMATION

In order to improve the efficiency of the defrost mode operation, the following changes were implemented for the 1999 through 2001 Model Years:

^ On the 1999 Rodeo and Amigo, a "Micro-Switch" was added to the HVAC Control Assembly to activate the Air Conditioning Compressor automatically during the Defrost or the Defrost/Foot Mode to improve efficiency.

^ On the 2000 and 2001 Rodeo and Amigo/Rodeo Sport, in addition to the first "Micro-Switch," a second "Micro-Switch" was added to the HVAC Controls to force the "Fresh Door" open whenever the Defrost or Defrost/Foot Mode is activated.

NOTE:
There was no change to the operation of the first "Micro-Switch" used in the Model Year 1999.
