When the Tank Is Full the Needle Does Not Reach "F"
STEP 1- When inserting and pulling out the connector F-1 of the fuel tank unit several times, does the pointer of the fuel gauge stay in the same position?
YES
Go to STEP 2
NO
Repair a poor connection at the connector of the fuel tank unit.
STEP 2
1. Disconnect the connector of the fuel tank unit.
2. Connect the fuel tank unit harness side connector F-1 terminals 2 and 3 with a lead wire.
3. When the starter switch is turned on does the needle overshoot to "F" after about 5 minutes?
YES
Go to STEP 5
NO
Go to STEP 3
STEP 3
- Is there a broken circuit in the printer circuit of the meter assembly?
YES
Go to STEP 4
NO
Check the fuel gauge and replace it if necessary.
STEP 4
1. Replace the printed circuit board.
2. Is the action complete?
YES
Verify repair.
STEP 5
1. Remove the fuel tank unit.
2. Does the float arm operate smoothly?
YES
Go to STEP 6
NO
Replace the fuel tank unit.
STEP 6
- Is the resistance value of the fuel tank unit normal?
YES
verify repair.
NO
Replace the fuel tank unit.
