When the Tank Is Not Full the Needle Goes Up to "F"
STEP 11. Disconnect the connector of the fuel tank unit.
2. Turn the starter switch on.
3. Does the needle still point to "F"?
YES
Go to STEP 4
NO
Go to STEP 2
STEP 2
1. Remove the fuel tank unit.
2. Does the float arm operate smoothly?
YES
Go to STEP 3
NO
Replace the fuel tank unit.
STEP 3
- Are the resistance values of the fuel tank unit at the "E" and "F" points normal?
NO
Replace the fuel tank unit.
STEP 4
- Is the circuit between the fuel tank unit and the fuel gauge normal?
YES
Go to STEP 5
NO
Repair a short circuit in the circuit.
STEP 5
- Is the printed circuit of the meter assembly grounded securely?
YES
Check the fuel gauge and replace it if necessary.
NO
Repair or replace the printed circuit board.
