Windshield Washer Switch: Description and Operation

With the ignition switch in ON or START battery voltage is applied to the front wiper/washer switch, front wiper motor, and alarm and relay control unit through fuse C-5.

When you press the front washer switch battery voltage is applied to the front washer motor and the alarm and relay control unit. The washer motor pumps fluid on to the windshield and the alarm and relay control unit energizes and applies battery voltage to the LO winding of the wiper motor through the wiper switch. The wipers will run at LO speed until you release the switch.
