Windshield Wiper Motor

Removal




1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect the connector (2).
3 . Remove 4 mounting bolts.
4. Remove the nut (4) of the wiper motor shaft, and disconnect the linkage (3).
5. Remove the windshield wiper motor (1).

CAUTION: To facilitate the removal of the nuts, be sure to put out the tip portion of the linkage sufficiently through the mounting hole of the motor by sliding the wiper blade slowly.

Installation
To install, follow the removal steps in the reverse order, noting the following points.
1. Tighten the wiper motor shaft nut to the specified torque
Torque: 14 Nm (122 lb. in)
2. Remove the wiper arms on both sides, and rotate then wiper motor until it get to the auto-stop position to reinstall the wiper blade.
