Radiator Support Replacement

Removal Procedure
1. Raise the hood. Support the hood.
2. Remove the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement in Engine Electrical.
3. Remove the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement.
4. Remove the grille. Refer to Grille Replacement in Exterior Trim.
5. Remove the front bumper impact bar. Refer to Impact Bar Replacement - Front Bumper.
6. Remove the hood release cable from the radiator support and the primary hood latch. Refer to Hood Latch Release Cable Replacement.
7. Remove the primary hood latch support. Refer to Hood Latch Support Replacement.
8. Remove the air intake baffle. Refer to Air Intake Baffle Replacement - Radiator.
9. Remove the headlamp assemblies. Refer to Headlamp Replacement




10. Remove the ground screw terminals from the radiator support.




11. Remove the forward lamp wiring harness from the radiator support.
12. Remove the fan shroud from the radiator support. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement. Slide the shroud toward the engine.




13. Remove the air conditioning condenser, if equipped. Refer to Condenser Replacement.
14. Remove the mega fuse cable and bracket.
15. Remove the radiator baffle.




16. Remove the hood support rod. Refer to Hood Hold-Open Rod Replacement.
17. Remove the bolts that retain the radiator support to the right and the left wheel house panel.




18. Remove the bolts that retain the left wheel house panel to the fender.
19. Remove the bolts that retain the radiator support to the frame.
20. Remove the bolts that retain the radiator support to the right and the left fender.
21. Remove the radiator support frame mounts.
22. Lightly push the left fender away from the vehicle in order to allow a clearance between the fender and the radiator support.
23. Slide the left side of the support away from the vehicle.
24. Remove the radiator support.

Installation Procedure




1. Lightly push the fender away from the vehicle in order to allow a clearance between the fender and the radiator support.
2. Install the radiator support into the frame. Slide the right side of the support onto the frame. Pivot the left side of the support into place.
3. Install the radiator support frame mounts.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Note in Cautions and Notes.

4. Install the bolts through the frame mount.

Tighten
Tighten the radiator support frame mount bolts to 70 N.m (52 lb ft).




5. Install the bolts that retain the left wheel house panel to the fender.
6. Install the bolts that retain the radiator support to the right and the left wheel house panel.
7. Install the hood support rod. Refer to Hood Hold-Open Rod Replacement.
8. Install the bolts that retain the radiator support to the right and the left fender.
9. Install the bolts that retain the air conditioning condenser to the radiator support, if equipped. Refer to Condenser Replacement.
10. Install the radiator baffle to the radiator support.
11. install the mega fuse cable and bracket to the radiator support.
12. Install the air conditioning condenser, if equipped. Refer to Condenser Replacement.




13. Install the fan shroud to the radiator support. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement.




14. Install the forward lamp wiring harness to the radiator support.
15. Install the ground screw terminals to the radiator support.
16. Install the headlamp assemblies. Refer to Headlamp Replacement.
17. Install the primary hood latch support. Refer to Hood Latch Support Replacement.
18. Install the air intake baffle. Refer to Air Intake Baffle Replacement - Radiator.
19. Install the hood release cable to the radiator support and the primary hood latch. Refer to Hood Latch Release Cable Replacement.
20. Install the grille. Refer to Grille Replacement in Exterior trim.
21. Install the bumper. Refer to Impact Bar Replacement - Front Bumper.
22. Install the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement.
23. Install the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement.
24. Lower the hood.
25. Inspect the latch. Adjust if necessary.
