Seat Cushion Trim Cover and Pad Replacement
Removal Procedure1. Remove the seat from the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement - Bucket.
2. Separate the J-strips from the seat bottom frame.
IMPORTANT: Do not damage the seat fabric when removing the velcro retaining cover.
3. Separate the velcro strips (1) that retain the seat pad (3) to the seat cover (2).
4. Remove the seat back release lever, if equipped. Refer to Seat Back Recliner Handle Replacement.
5. Remove the manual lumbar support knob, if equipped. Refer to Lumbar Support knob Replacement.
6. Remove the seat back from the seat bottom bolts.
7. Remove the seat belt buckle bolt.
8. Remove the seat belt buckle from the seat.
9. Remove the bracket bolt for the seat trim plate screws.
10. Remove the seat bottom cover.
11. Remove the seat bottom pad.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the seat bottom pad to the seat bottom.
2. Install the seat bottom cover over the pad.
3. Engage the velcro strips (1) that retain the seat pad (3) to the seat cover (2).
4. Install the bracket bolt for the seat trim plate screws.
5. Install the seat belt buckle through the slot in the seat.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Note in Cautions and Notes.
6. Install the seat belt holder bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the seat belt buckle bolt to 70 N.m(52 lb ft).
7. Install the seat back to seat bottom bolts.
8. Install the seat back release lever, if equipped. Refer to Seat Back Recliner Handle Replacement.
9. Install the manual lumbar support knob, if equipped. Refer to Lumbar Support Knob Replacement.
10. Engage the J-strips to the seat bottom frame.
11. Install the seat to the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement - Bucket
