Air Bag Deactivation Switch: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to SRS Handling Caution in Cautions and Notices.




1. Disable the SRS system.
2. Remove the trim plate - IP accessory panel.




3. Release the four locking tabs (1) on the passenger AIR BAG disable switch.
4. Remove the switch from the instrument panel.
5. Disconnect the electrical connections, as needed.




Installation Procedure
1. Connect the electrical connections, as needed.
2. Install the switch to the instrument panel by firmly pressing the switch into place.
3. Enable the SRS system.
