Air Delivery Door Control
Heater/AC Controls:
With the engine running, voltage is applied to the intake actuator and the air selector knob, which when set to FOOT/DEFROST or DEFROST, energizes the intake actuator relay. Once energized, the relay provides ground to the intake actuator if in the RECIRC position, energizing the motor until the door is fully open to allow fresh air to circulate. Once fully open, the switch reaches its mechanical limit and opens, de-energizing the motor.
Under normal conditions the intake actuator is controlled by the driver selecting RECIRC or FRESH with the air source selector lever in the heater-A/C control panel, with each position being grounded through the contacts of the intake actuator relay.
