On Some affected vehicles, the engine mounts may not isolate engine vibration.

NOTE:
Depending on road conditions, some vibration that is felt through the steering column, floor, or seat is normal when the vehicle is driven at high speeds.

Correction:
To correct this condition, the procedure summarized below must be followed:

1. Engine Re-Alignment.

2. Replacement of Motor Mount Cover.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

ENGINE RE-ALIGNMENT

1. Prepare Vehicle on the hoist.

2. Raise the Vehicle on the hoist.

3. Loosen two bolts located on the transmission crossmember (Figure 1 & 2).

Use a pry bar and move the engine/transmission assembly forward.

5. While pushing the engine/transmission assembly forward, tighten the two Transmission Cross-member bolts that were loosened.

6. Lower the vehicle and start the engine to test for any vibration.

NOTE:
If the vibration is still present, then replace the motor mount cover using the following procedure.

REPLACE MOTOR MOUNT COVER

1. Record the radio settings.

NOTE:
On 4x4 models, lift from the top of engine.

12. Remove right side upper motor mount bolts through the opening inside the wheel well
