Trailer Lamps: Description and Operation

The trailer connector is an extension of the main wiring harness. Some early production Rodeo may have a power wired converter box, where the RED wire on the extension must be spliced into the RED/WHT wire above the luggage room light. If this converter does not receive 12V at all times, it will not send any output signals to operate the trailer lights.

On Amigo and late production Rodeo, there is no jumper wire needed to supply power to the converter.
