Owner Letter: Overview
DEAR ISUZU RODEO or AMIGO OWNER:Through our continuing effort to assure maximum customer satisfaction with our products, American Isuzu Motors Inc. has determined there is excessive paint thickness on some rear suspension components on certain 2000 Rodeo and Amigo vehicles.
WHAT IS THE CONDITION?
On some affected vehicles, excessive paint thickness on certain rear suspension components or uneven fastener mounting surface may cause a loose bolt condition resulting in an abnormal noise.
WHAT WE WILL DO:
To prevent this condition from occurring, your Isuzu dealer will inspect and apply new torque values to rear axle suspension components and remove stabilizer shackle nuts and bolts and replace with new Nylock nuts and bolts. This service will be performed for you at no charge.
WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:
Please contact your Isuzu dealer to arrange a service date. Your dealer will need your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), as shown in the top left-hand corner of this letter, and a few days notice, to coordinate parts delivery and service schedules. Please ask your Isuzu dealer if you wish to know how much time will be needed to schedule, process, and repair your vehicle. Your Isuzu dealer can refer to Campaign Bulletin SBOO-06-S003.
