Service Procedure

Rodeo/Rodeo Sport/Amigo Front Door Weatherstrip Service Procedure





1. See figure 1 for an example of a incorrect weatherstrip position.





2. Open the door and remove the weatherstrip from the weatherstrip channel down to the door panel (see figure 2).

NOTE:
^ Complete removal of the weatherstrip is not necessary.

^ If Butyl Tape is found on the vehicle's weatherstrip, use care to avoid damaging or allowing debris to come in contact with the existing Butyl Tape as found on the door and weatherstrip.





^ Butyl Tape will be reused during the weatherstrip reinstallation (see figure 3).

^ Butyl Tape cannot be ordered through AIPDN.





3. Apply three (3) 200 mm strips of double-sided acrylic foam tape to the front door, starting at the edge of the weatherstrip channel along the door (see figures 4 and 5).





4. Align the weatherstrip lip with the corner of the door frame, re-install the weatherstrip with a plastic spatula along the weatherstrip channel (see figures 6 and 7).

NOTE:
To reinstall the weatherstrip, align the weatherstrip lip with the corner of the door frame applying pressure along the Butyl Tape area and weatherstrip to achieve maximum adhesive coverage. Make sure that the weatherstrip is correctly fitted flat along the weatherstrip channel (see figures 6-9).





5. Inspect the weatherstrip to insure it is correctly positioned around the weatherstrip channel (see figures 8 and 9).

Axiom Front Door Weatherstrip Service Procedure

2. Open the front door and remove the weatherstrip from the weatherstrip channel down to the door panel (see figure 2).

^ Complete removal of the weatherstrip is not necessary.

^ If Butyl Tape is found on the vehicle's weatherstrip, use care to avoid damaging or allowing debris to come in contact with the existing Butyl Tape as found on the door and weatherstrip.





^ Butyl Tape will be reused during the weatherstrip reinstallation (see figure 3).

^ Butyl Tape cannot be ordered through AIPDN.

5. Inspect the weatherstrip to insure it is correctly positioned around the weatherstrip channel (see figures 8-10).
