Keyless Entry - Reprogramming Information
Information: IB05-13-S003Keyless Entry Misprogramming
ISSUE DATE: AUGUST 30, 2005
Affected Vehicles:
2004-2005 Isuzu Ascender (US/UT)
Service Information
Some 2004-2005 Isuzu Ascenders are available without keyless entry. Prior to performing repairs on a vehicle, it is important to know what features the vehicle is equipped with. This will help prevent unnecessary repairs to a vehicle that is NOT equipped with keyless entry. Vehicles built without the Preferred Equipment Package (PEP) or without RPO Code AU0 do not include keyless entry as part of the sales package. The vehicle RPO codes are printed on the Service Parts Identification Label inside the passenger glove compartment. However, keyless entry can be added at the customer's expense.
To install keyless entry, reprogram the Liftgate Module and Truck Body Control Module using Isuzu TIS 2000 and select a calibration for keyless entry. Refer to Service Programming System (SPS) in the Service Manual. As always, make sure your TECH2 is updated with the latest software version. Then program the new transmitters. Refer to Keyless Entry in the Service Manual for further information.
All expenses incurred for parts and reprogramming is the sole responsibility of the customer. Claims submitted for parts and labor will reject due to "Labor Operation and Vehicle Equipment mismatch".
